TCS Bee Lawn Mix™ from Twin City Seed includes a combination of low-input fine fescue with Dutch white clover, self-heal, and yaak yarrow. Research from the University of Minnesota shows that more than 60 bee species are supported by Dutch white clover and self-heal. Yaak yarrow is a low-growing, pollinator-friendly wildflower that is closely related to common yarrow, a species commonly used by native plant gardeners. This seed mixture is designed to maintain the function of a traditional turfgrass lawn while providing high-quality food for our at-risk pollinators.

DENSE SHADE Lawn Seed Mixture from Twin City Seed is designed for use where sunlight is limited yet a turf stand is desired. The combination of the fescues with Poa trivialis (rough bluegrass) offers maximum shade tolerance. As with all grass species some sunlight is required for long term survival.

SHADY Lawn Seed Mixture from Twin City Seed is designed to provide good shade tolerance that requires normal to low maintenance practices. The grass species selected for the Shady Lawn Seed Mixture will provide an excellent turf quality where 30% to 60% of shade exists. Drought tolerance of this product is recognized through approval of the Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance.

SUN & SHADE Lawn Seed Mixture from Twin City Seed is designed a quality turf stand that requires normal to low maintenance practices. Sun & Shade Lawn Seed Mixture can be used where conditions provide medium (50% to 30%) amounts of sun and shade. This mixture is proudly approved by the Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance.

Sunny Lawn Seed Mixture from Twin City Seed is designed to provide a quality turf requiring normal to low maintenance. It is best used where conditions provide full sun to light shade. The perennial ryegrass can germinate and establish quickly providing protection for the slower germinating bluegrasses along with improved disease resistance. The Kentucky bluegrasses provide excellent turf density and recovery from stressors. Drought avoidant tall fescue make this mix less water demanding and enhanced wear tolerance. All the grasses used in this mixture blend nicely in both color and leaf texture. This mixture is proudly approved by the Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance.

ECO SEED™ (low grow fescue) Mixture is a combination of improved fine fescues that results in an attractive turf stand if mown or and functional ground cover when left unmown. ECO SEED Mixture does not require high levels of management once established and has great drought tolerance adapting to most soil conditions. If left unmown the maximum height will be between 10 to 12 inches. ECO SEED is an approved TWCA (Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance) seed mixture.
