The combination of the fescues with Poa trivialis (rough bluegrass) offers maximum shade tolerance. As with all grass species some sunlight is required for long term survival.

Research from the University of Minnesota shows that more than 60 bee species are supported by Dutch white clover and self-heal. Yaak yarrow is a low-growing, pollinator-friendly wildflower that is closely related to common yarrow, a species commonly used by native plant gardeners. This seed mixture is designed to maintain the function of a traditional turfgrass lawn while providing high-quality food for our at-risk pollinators.
